WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO EAT CLEAN?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO EAT CLEAN?

Clean Eating! The idea is to eat foods that are as close to their natural state as possible.

It has nothing to do with whether food is clean or dirty.

It means choosing foods that are minimally processed, that gives out bodies the maximum nutrition.

Focus on real food as much as as possible. By “real food,” I mean unprocessed or minimally processed foods that either came from a plant or animal such as: vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, grains, meat, chicken, eggs and seafood. To simplify, these are foods that can be found in nature.

Clean eating does not mean that all foods must be eaten in the raw state.

Unless you are having some issues with certain foods, it does not mean avoiding certain foods.

When you eat clean you are encouraged to eat more whole foods and limit highly processed snack foods, sweets and other packaged foods.

You must avoid highly processed foods with a long list of ingredients, espeially ingredients you are not able to pronounce as most of the ingredients are not natural.

Limit foods with added salt, sugar or fat
